Big Events for Dongfeng Cummins(DCEC) Engine

1. 26th June, 1996, Cumins Engine Co., Ltd and Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd cooperated and newly established Dongfeng Cummins Engine co., Ltd(DCEC).
2. In 2000, the DCEC new plant was built and then construction began upon the second phase of the project. At the end of year, the first set of ATPU engine went into production.
3. On 4^th July, 2002, ten thousand sets engines went into production.
4. On 22th Feb, 2003, Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd signed cooperation agreement with the United States Cummins, both sides announced that they would expand the scope of cooperation and the registered capital of Dongfeng Cummins(DCEC) Engine increased to more than one hundred million dollars.
5. On 8^th Aug, 2006, Cummins east Asia R&D center was officially opened in Wuhan economic development zone, which marking Cummins and Dongfeng would go into a new stage in cooperation of technology research and development.
6. On 26^th Feb, 2008, Dongfeng Cummins Engine co., Ltd opened a base of Marketing in Xiangfan.
7. On 18th Feb, 2009, Dongfeng Cummings signed remanufacturing project cooperation agreement with the United States Cummins(USA Cummins), both sides came to an agreement that they would have a long term cooperation in the field of engine remanufacturing in the future.
8. On 1st Oct, 2009, Dongfeng series of chariots, vehicles loading with national emblem and floats representative of Xinjiang and Hubei province have successfully finished the 60 anniversary of National Day parade task and all the vehicles were assembled by Dongfeng Cummins engine(DCEC).
9. On 7^th July, 2010, the ISZ heavy-duty engine which Dongfeng Cummins engine has its own intellectual property rights was launched into market in mass and passed the L/P audit.
10. In 2010, Dongfeng Cummins Engine made a great progress in production and sales and was up to 2.2 million sets in the whole year.
