There are two situations in which the engine oil lamp alarms, one is the yellow level alarm and the other is the red pressure alarm. If it is a yellow alarm, add oil. If it is a red alarm, pay attention to it. Check the cause in time, otherwise there will be big trouble.

Because the lubrication system of the car is mainly composed of the oil pan, the oil pump, the oil filter, the main oil passage, the oil passage, the oil pressure low alarm sensor, the oil oil temperature alarm sensor and the pressure limiting valve. The red alarm is mainly related to these aspects.

1, less oil

If the amount of oil is too small, the pump oil of the oil pump will decrease or the pump will not be oiled due to the air entering, causing the oil pressure to drop. The crankshaft and the bearing, the cylinder liner and the piston will be inferior to the lubrication due to too little oil.

2, the engine temperature is too high

As the temperature of the vehicle engine is too high, the engine oil is accelerated, deteriorated, and thinned. As a result, the oil leaks from the gap between the components, and the pressure is lowered, causing the oil alarm light to illuminate.

3, oil pump wear

When the oil pump fails, damage, wear, aging, or installation problems occur, resulting in a working gap, causing the oil pump to not work properly, the engine oil pressure drops, resulting in the oil alarm light.

4, improper coordination inside the engine

The working clearance between the crankshaft of the engine and the large and small tiles is improper, the engine cannot work normally, and the engine oil pressure rises or falls, which causes the oil alarm light to be on.

5, the oil filter is blocked

Excessive accumulation of carbon or other dirt in the engine oil or engine blocks the oil filter, suction cups, etc., causing the oil pressure to drop, causing the oil alarm light to illuminate.

6, the pressure limiting valve set pressure is too low or improperly adjusted

In the lubrication system, the oil pumped by the oil pump must ensure proper pressure before reaching the lubricating parts of the engine. If the pressure limiting valve is set too low, the pressure regulating spring becomes soft, improper adjustment, or the sealing surface leaks, the set pressure will be too low.

When the oil alarm light in the instrument panel is on, please be cautious. If the yellow light is on, pay attention to adding oil in time. If the red light is on, it is best to go to the repair shop for inspection as soon as possible. If the small problem is not treated in time, it may cause a big problem. malfunction.
