1. It is forbidden to start the diesel engine without cooling water or add boiling water to start the diesel engine and then add cooling water, which will cause the hot cylinder liner, cylinder head and other important components to burst or deform due to sudden cold; add boiling water of 100°C into the cold body. , it will also crack the cylinder head and the body, and it should be added when the water temperature drops to 60-70 °C.
2. Avoid not supplying oil according to the regulations. The diesel engine should not put the pressure reducing handle to the “working” position and then supply oil when starting, but should put the throttle handle on the oil supply position before starting. The harm of not operating in accordance with this regulation is: waste of fuel; excess diesel will wash out the cylinder wall, deteriorate the lubrication between the piston, piston ring and cylinder liner and aggravate wear; excess oil flowing into the oil pan will dilute the oil and reduce the lubrication effect; Excessive diesel fuel in the cylinders does not burn completely enough to form carbon deposits.
3. Avoid pulling the car to start the diesel engine when the cold engine oil is viscous to pull the car to start, it will aggravate the wear between the moving parts, thereby reducing the service life of the locomotive.
4. Bogeys do not change lubricating oil and fuel oil on schedule In the cold season, if the lubricating oil and fuel oil with low viscosity are not changed in time, the diesel engine will be difficult to start.
5. Avoid using an open flame to bake the oil pan and start a fire at the intake pipe. To prevent fires, use slow fire and coal fire to bake the oil pan of the diesel engine at a certain distance, and at the same time slowly rotate the oil shaft to allow the oil to be heated evenly. , so that all parts are lubricated. If the ignition is started at the intake pipe of the diesel engine, the ash and hard debris generated by the combustion of the material will be sucked into the cylinder, causing the intake and exhaust valves to close loosely and accelerating the wear of the cylinder.
6. Avoid long-term use of glow plugs, flame preheater glow plugs, and flame preheater heating elements are all electric heating wires, which consume a lot of power and heat. Long-term use may damage the battery due to rapid discharge. It can also burn out the heating wire. Therefore, the continuous use time of the glow plug should not exceed 1 minute each time, and the continuous use time of the flame preheater should be controlled within 20 seconds.
7. Avoid adding oil directly to the cylinder. Although it can play the role of sealing, supercharging and warming, it is convenient for the cold start of the diesel engine, but the oil cannot be completely burned, and it is easy to generate carbon deposits, which weakens the elasticity of the piston ring and makes the cylinder’s The sealing performance is reduced; in addition, the wear of the cylinder liner will be accelerated, resulting in a reduction in the power of the diesel engine and making it more difficult to start, so the oil cannot be directly added to the cylinder.
8. Bogeys directly pour gasoline into the intake pipe. The ignition point of gasoline is lower than that of diesel, and it burns first than diesel. Therefore, directly injecting gasoline into the intake pipe will make the engine work rough and produce a strong cylinder knocking phenomenon, and in severe cases, the engine may reverse.
9. Avoid long-term continuous start The engine on the diesel engine works under the condition of low voltage and high current, and long-term use will damage the battery. Its continuous working time shall not exceed 5 seconds; if it cannot be started once, it should be restarted every 15 seconds.
10 Avoid running at high speed just after starting. When the diesel engine is just started, the lubricating oil temperature is low and the fluidity is poor. Immediately running at high speed, it is easy to cause rapid wear of various moving parts due to lack of lubrication.
