What is the function of the generator set base oil tank

The generator base fuel tank mainly stores a large amount of fuel for the unit. Oil can be supplied to it through the supply pipeline, and the connection port should be convenient for the oil truck to approach, and the tank to be locked should be closed. The oil tank should be equipped with an oil quantity indicator and an overflow alarm device connected to the liquid level switch.
When the intermediate fuel tank is used, an electric fuel delivery pump should be installed. The pump should be as close as possible to the oil storage tank and have enough power to transfer the fuel. Oil storage tanks should be used in conjunction with the following facilities:
1) Isolation device during cleaning or repair (when multiple turbulent tanks are installed)
2) Supply interface
3) Breathing mouth
4) Overflow connection of the middle fuel tank
5) Inspection port with a diameter of 18 inches
6) Liquid level indicator or oil gauge
7) The supply pipeline at the opposite end of the sewage path
8) Filter and belly valve (where necessary)
The oil storage tank should have a foundation that should be raised by 50 mm, so as to meet the 4-hour fire protection standard and meet the requirements of moderate heat convection.
All above-ground oil tanks should be built with protective buildings, requiring:
1) Large enough, there should be at least 10% free space over the tank capacity
2) There is a leak-proof oil collection tank on the floor
3) Walls and floors should have passages
4) Prepare a manual or electric pump system
5) The metal part should be grounded according to local regulations
For oil storage tanks placed underground, the size of the underground excavation should be easy to install; the Bohu layer of the oil tank should be prevented from being damaged during the installation process; stones and metal objects should also be paid attention to during the backfilling process.
